To add a new line to an estimate, display the database or the parts code table on the bottom half of your screen, and select the appropriate part. To modify a line, highlight and change the fields there directly, or display the Properties sheet, and change the information there. To delete an automated line, highlight the line, select Edit > Delete Estimate Line. If a database line is deleted, it and any automated lines associated with it are also deleted.
Once you have modified a line, all estimate totals are updated. If you modify an automated line, that line will be underlined and marked with an asterisk on the printed estimate. Make sure you save your changes.

Note: Altering an automated line may affect your totals, so be sure to check your totals to make sure they are reasonable and accurate. If you find that you disagree with the totals that result from your altering an automated line, delete the line you altered and reinsert it. The program will use the automated figures.
